The Vision

Environmentally sustainable production

Is our greatest project yet, and it is not just a plan anymore, it’s reality…

In 2017, we were provoked by common sense to begin doing everything necessary to transform our business model in order to produce environmentally sustainable products.

With a clear goal to recognize and accept full responsibility for the impact of our business on the environment and society, we initiated Project HOOOPE with the following objectives:

  1. Systematic transformation of the entire production process
  2. Large investments in the development of new renewable resources
  3. Structuring the company ethos based on total transparency and accountability

Here are some of our results:

A 50 hectare Paulownia plantation
Feydom Forest - Serbia

FEYDOM Forest

In order to cut deforestation for timber, we started planting a forest in 2017. Each year since then, we have planted 10 hectares of Paulownia trees in this forest. This year, we have a total of 30.000 fast growing trees on a 50 hectare plantation, which is only the first half of our 100 hectare project we call: Feydom Forest

The goal of this project is to supply our own timber while growing 10 trees for each one that is used in our production process. The forest now absorbs 2000 tons of CO2 annually and the number will rapidly rise in the following years.

250KW solar photovoltaic power plant
Feydom Factory - North Macedonia

Solar Power Plant

In order to cut CO2 emissions in the atmosphere, we started installing photovoltaic panels on our factories’ roofs in 2019.

Today, these power plants produce more electricity than we spend in our production lines, making the entire process powered by clean energy.

Small things, big changes

Removable covers

Each new FEYDOM sofa system is designed with removable covers that are easy to wash and clean.

These removable covers additionally offer the possibility to change the fabric and color of each element. This makes living room makeovers possible without trowing away any part of the existing furniture.

Pocket springs

In order to cut plastic waste pollution, all of our new models also include steel pocket springs in the seats as a replacement for foam. The use of springs reduces polyurethane foam usage by 50% and doubles the longevity of the product.

Upcycling

This year, we designed a particular production line for products made from leftover materials, which cut down waste material to the bare minimum.

Be the change

Our results will hopefully serve as evidence that it is possible to run a successful furniture production line without taking more from the nature than we can give back.

If we can do it, everybody else can do it too. In fact, we can really make the change together.
